Becoming a Blackburn Ranger

Becoming a Blackburn Ranger

What is a Blackburn Ranger?  and how did I become one?

In 2016 I applied, and was chosen to represent Blackburn as one of their 'Rangers'.

The ranger programme hosted by Blackburn design, selects 6 individuals, equips them with some of the finest bicycle travelling equipment in the business and then sends them out on a series of adventure cycling routes. In return, Rangers test the gear, supply regular photo updates and make weekly journal entries from the road. My route was the 4228.5miles coast to coast route known as the Transamerica trail

As Rangers we were privileged to be supplied with and testing some amazing gear from: Blackburn Design, Niner Bikes, Bell helmets, WTB, Kitsbow, Sram, Giro, Brooks, and Big Agnes. Thanks to all those guys for their support.

In a month I'll be heading to Santa Cruz for Ranger Camp.

I had spent much of 2015 getting stuck into small scale adventures and playing around with video and editing. Below is the entry video I made consisting of a few trips I took that year.
